L'Occitane is a French company specializing in manufacturing fragrances, body care products, and cosmetics. The history of this company began with Olivier Baussan's purchase of a distillation still. He was extracting rosemary essential oil from the distillation sometime in 1976.

After a few years, he gathered most of the essential oils that form the base of L'Occitane's products today. These ingredients include verbena, shea butter, and lavender. L'Occitane values authenticity, and its natural ingredients can be traced; its products also appeal to the senses through touch and fragrance.

With 170 stores in the United States, L'Occitane has stores in over 90 countries, including North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and Africa. To test its products' effectiveness and quality, no human or animal was used as a test subject, except for beehive products, in its manufacturing process. Most of L'Occitane's ingredients and products are developed per the ECOCERT's requirements for organic cosmetics.

One factor that makes L'Occitane unique is that they use natural, high-quality, traceable ingredients to create sensual, soothing, and eco-friendly products. Each product is a sensory experience that transforms the typical bathing practice by fusing healthy textures with alluring smells!

Due to the company's emphasis on the environment, L'Occitane is committed to sustainability and conservation. The company uses natural ingredients that are harvested without endangering the environment. It has helped to safeguard 150 plant species since 2008 and is striving to protect Provencal lavender from the effects of climate change. Even almond trees were returned to Provence thanks to L'Occitane!

L'Occitane Shea Butter Foot Cream

The skin of the foot often appears dry and neglected as most cosmetics only focus on face care products. The L'Occitane Shea Butter Foot Cream keeps your feet moisturized and hydrated like every other body part. This cream has proven to be highly effective as it calms the skin and eases any pain or discomfort you might be experiencing.

Lavender Essential Oil

One special product of L'Occitane is its Lavender Essential Oil. This oil is specially made to reduce redness and irritation with its enchanting aroma and antibacterial characteristics. It regenerates and cleanses the skin with each usage.
After a long and stressful day, when your feet feel weak and worn out, the Lavender Essential Oil will help to soothe your nerves.

L’Occitane Verbena Cooling Hand Cream Gel

This is another special product made to hydrate and cool the hands. It has a distinctive and attractive fragrance that envelops your hands and fingers. Its special ingredients, Verbena Extract and Thyme Oil give it its unique scent and function. It's the ideal cream to care for your hands and gives them the necessary softness you need. And because it comes in a portable package, you can take it anywhere.

L'Occitane Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body Cream

The L'Occitane Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body Cream contains a very high percentage of shea butter (25%) and a nourishing and humectant ingredient known as beta-glucan. These ingredients make this product the best choice for protecting dry skin.

L'Occitane Cherry Blossom Shimmering Lotion

The ultra-hydrating and fragrant L'Occitane Cherry Blossom Shimmering Lotion claims to leave your skin smooth through a distinctive multisensory experience. With its feminine and delicate scent, this lotion transports you to the first days of spring because the Cherry Blossom from the Luberon, a region of Southern France, inspired it.

The Cherry Blossom has various nurturing qualities in addition to its fragrance. In fact, this key component can help maintain optimal levels of hydration, leaving the skin feeling softer after each use.

L'Occitane's Compensatin Plan Type is Unilevel

In the unilevel plan, which is used by L'Occitane, all directly sponsored members who are recruited by the L'Occitane independent consultant are placed under him/her into a single business level. Additional levels are then created as those sponsored members build teams.

The uni-level compensation plan typically will payout on several levels below the consultant, depending on his/her rank.

For example, new L'Occitane consultants who are just starting out may only earn commission on the sales volume of their directly sponsored team members or level one. Once they achieve a higher career rank, they may earn commission on levels below their directly sponsored team members. Future rank advancements may include additional levels of commissions earned farther down their sponsor tree.

Considerations When Choosing a Beauty Product Direct Selling Company

Choosing the right beauty and cosmetic direct selling company may feel daunting. Here are a few tips to consider when making your decision:

Do Your Research - Before selecting direct selling makeup companies, do thorough research on the company's background and other details. Check out its history and how long it has existed, its success rate, and customer reviews.

Business Strategy - Next, you need to check what marketing strategy the direct selling company uses and its effectiveness. Most direct selling companies use more than one marketing strategy. With this, you can predict the success rate of its products.

Products Offered - This step helps you decide whether a direct selling company's product is a good fit for you. Check out their current list of products and determine how well they meet your potential customer's needs and requirements.

Expected Income - Another factor, which is also very important, is to find out how much you will earn if you finally decide to work with them. Are you going to be making profits or losing?

Compensation Plans - Before choosing a direct selling makeup company, considering their business opportunity and what you will need to do to grow your business, is as important as finding out how much you will make. Usually, every new member should have the same opportunity as older members to attain higher levels. So, you should find out the requirements for each level and how much discount and bonuses you would be earning.
