Founded in 1991 as Omnitrition in Mexico with six distributors, three employees, and a budget of $10000, Omnilife has grown to be one of the biggest nutritional supplements companies in Latin America in the current times.

Although Omnilife started as a single-product company, its product line expanded with time. It currently holds many health and wellness products in its inventory, selling them across Latin America and Eurasian countries.

Omnilife has over 600 employees, 5 million distributors, an annual revenue of approximately $563 million, and countless job opportunities for people who want to grow financially.

To help out the newly recruited distributors, the company also has an "Omni Life Basic Course," which is more of an event held in Guatemala. In the basic course, the company focuses on teaching about the products and creating a personal bond with the audience.

It is then followed by two more segments called the "Lack and Abundance" workshop, where participants are encouraged to share their stories and make a "dream map" of their emotional and material aspirations. This, according to them, helps the people connect, turning the sales force into one huge family.

The company also owns the Guadalajara Football Club and actively participates in philanthropic works through its Educare program.

Although known for its nutritional products, Omnicare has a bunch of different product categories that it sells through its distributors:

Supplements

The nutrition category mainly consists of drinks infused with different flavors and extracts. Omnilife drinks show a maximum effect when combined with other supplements from the company, primarily flavored multivitamins and mineral tablets.

Cosmetics

While the cosmetics line is not something Omnilife is known best for, the company comes with many products for both men and women. Some important products in the category include mascaras, daily skincare creams and serums, and fragrances.

Nutrition Plans

Apart from useful health and cosmetic products, Omnilife provides a specialized "90-day challenge." It is a diet and exercise plan per an individual's health goals. As per the company's claim, all the exercises and plans are carefully created to help you reach your goal. Throughout the challenge, you will be supervised by expert nutritionists.

Omnilife's Compensatin Plan Type is Unilevel

In the unilevel plan, which is used by Omnilife, all directly sponsored members who are recruited by the Omnilife independent distributor are placed under him/her into a single business level. Additional levels are then created as those sponsored members build teams.

The uni-level compensation plan typically will payout on several levels below the distributor, depending on his/her rank.

For example, new Omnilife distributors who are just starting out may only earn commission on the sales volume of their directly sponsored team members or level one. Once they achieve a higher career rank, they may earn commission on levels below their directly sponsored team members. Future rank advancements may include additional levels of commissions earned farther down their sponsor tree.

Considerations when choosing a health and wellness direct selling company

People looking to start working with a health and wellness MLM company should first study the existing trends and focus on a niche they find compelling. Some of the top fields include weight loss, anti-aging, diabetes, reproductive health, and fitness.

But how do you pick the best health and wellness MLM company for you? You can choose from larger businesses whose well-established popularity will help you promote and sell your products more efficiently.

Alternatively, you can opt for smaller but driven companies with substantial potential for growth. That way, you may find it easier to climb the corporate hierarchy and become a leader in your branch.

When choosing a product to sell, pick an option you deeply believe will benefit your customers. Another crucial aspect to consider is the commission. Most health and wellness MLM companies offer 20-40% commission on all sales. Some also provide material bonuses for their top weekly, monthly, and yearly performers.
